Three Sisters

Three sisters traveled from Tanahun to Heart-Mind Consultancy in Pokhara for the youngest sister’s counseling, as she had been overwhelmed by disturbing thoughts and anger since giving birth three months earlier. The eldest sister, a teacher, noticed her struggles and arranged counseling, seeing her stress worsen from being the sole caregiver. A taxi mistake led them to Shantinagar, where a counselor picked them up. After settling with the children, the youngest sister had an hour-long session, which brought her relief. She left feeling calm, and the sisters spent the rest of the day in Pokhara, planning a follow-up visit. Thanks to her sister’s intervention, she received help just in time, potentially preventing a deepening of her postpartum depression.

25-year-old man

I’m a 25-year-old working as a cook in Malta and recently began struggling with emotional distress after discovering my mother’s relationship with another man. This revelation was shocking, leading to overwhelming stress, trouble focusing at work, and strained interactions with my mother. Negative thoughts became more frequent, along with physical symptoms like headaches, leg pain, and occasional self-harm urges. I reached out to Heart-Mind Consultancy (HMC) Pvt. Ltd. for online counseling and attended four sessions. My counselor helped me identify my psychological struggles and set goals to lessen negative thinking. We worked on positive coping methods, added regular exercise, and practiced the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I also began a weekly review of my thoughts and started expressing my feelings through writing, which was a valuable release. Over time, I saw considerable improvement: my negative thoughts reduced, my mood lifted, and my sleep improved. Now, I’m able to focus better at work. I plan to return to Nepal for Dashain and Tihar 2081 and look forward to visiting the counseling center in Pokhara.

Rita

Overcoming Emotional Struggles: A Journey of Healing and Hope Rita (48), married at 40, and moved to the UK with her husband. After eight years of marriage, they tried for a child but faced challenges, including an unsuccessful IVF attempt and a fallopian tube pregnancy that required surgery. Following the surgery, Rita struggled with anxiety, sleeplessness, restlessness, and worry. With her husband abroad and her elderly parents unable to support her emotionally, she turned to Google and found Heart-Mind Consultancy.
During her first counseling session, Rita appeared anxious and physically weak. She rated her anxiety as 8 out of 10, sleeplessness as 6, and restlessness as 7. Over several sessions, we worked on deep breathing, stress management, and self-care strategies. Rita enrolled in a 15-day beautician training course, which helped structure her day and reduce overthinking. She also practiced Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which helped ease her emotional burdens and shift her mindset to a more positive one.
Rita moved back to the UK, continuing follow-up counseling. She now says, “It’s okay if we have a child, and if not, we plan to adopt.”
