Pokhara — A total of 18 psychosocial counselors from various parts of Nepal successfully completed a six-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Psychological First Aid (PFA), organized by Heart-Mind Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. The training was conducted in two separate batches over a period of three weeks, with each session lasting two hours per day.
The training curriculum was based on the WHO Psychological First Aid Guidebook and further enriched by resources from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and existing local resources in Nepal. Participants engaged in micro-teaching activities that promoted peer learning and practical facilitation experience.
This ToT aimed to strengthen local capacities by equipping counselors with the skills and confidence to independently organize and facilitate PFA sessions within their communities. These skills are particularly vital during crises, natural disasters, or other emergencies, where immediate psychological support is critical.
