Heart-Mind Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. Pokhara proudly stands as the first institution in Gandaki (Pokhara) affiliated with CTEVT to conduct a six-month Psychosocial Counseling Training program. This competency-based course is carefully designed to develop skilled and compassionate professionals in the field of psychosocial counseling.

So far, almost 30 students have enrolled in the course. Among them, 19 have successfully completed the program and have been certified as Psychosocial Counselors, while the remaining students are currently continuing their training. Certificates are awarded to participants by the Provincial Health Training Center Director General Dr. Binod Bindu Sharma.
The program equips trainees with essential knowledge, practical skills, and positive attitudes required to effectively support individuals facing psychosocial challenges. Through structured learning and supervised practice, participants gain hands-on experience in providing psychosocial counseling as outlined in the curriculum.
Upon completion, trainees will have the competencies needed to pursue diverse employment opportunities in Nepal and abroad—contributing meaningfully to communities where psychosocial problems persist.
🎯 Program Aim
The main goal of this training is to produce competent psychosocial counselors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to address mental health and psychosocial needs in both national and international contexts.
📘 Course Structure
The curriculum is divided into four key modules and includes practices and supervisions.

Duration:
- Total: 6 months (780 hours) Both physical and online sessions are carried out.
👥 Target Group
This training is open to all individuals with at least an Intermediate or +2 qualification. Those with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Health, or Nursing are especially encouraged to apply.
Group Size:
- Maximum of 20 trainees per batch to ensure personalized attention and adequate practice.

Courses are conducted in Nepali, English, or both, depending on participants’ preferences.
⏰ Attendance Requirement
Participants must maintain at least 90% attendance to qualify for certification.

The training is facilitated by experienced psychologists and senior counselors with over a decade of professional experience in the field.
Certification Requirements
To receive the Psychosocial Counseling Training Certificate, participants must successfully complete the following requirements:
- Maintain at least 90% attendance in theory and supervision classes.
- Provide counseling to a minimum of 15 clients, conducting at least 5 sessions with each client.
- Conduct 10 community psychosocial orientation sessions — 5 in schools and 5 in community settings.
- Submit clear and complete documentation of all counseling sessions and community orientations.
- Prepare and submit a final report summarizing the entire training experience.
- Successfully pass the final written examination and a video-based practical test. Participants must achieve a minimum score of 60% in all examinations to qualify for certification.
