A two-day training on psychosocial wellbeing was successfully conducted for 40 teachers in Myagang Rural Municipality, Nuwakot. The training was organized in collaboration between the Rural Municipality and Heart-Mind Consultancy and took place on Jestha 25 and 26, 2082 B.S. at the training hall in Deurali.
The training focused on identifying psychosocial problems and providing basic psychosocial support. Key topics included recognizing signs of distress and learning practical ways to support students facing such challenges. Chairperson Asha Tamang, Vice-Chairperson Sita Tamang, and Chief Administrative Officer Devaki Simkhada were present during the training. Teachers shared that issues such as excessive mobile phone use, lack of concentration in studies, irritability, sleep disturbances, negative thinking, and suicidal thoughts are increasingly common among students.
